Unlike my nonexistent ability to save any money whatsoever, I’m currently pretty satisfied with my eating habits.
A couple of months ago, my diet consisted of wine and microwave meals for one. I reckon that lately, I drink once a week, if that. I’m a very impatient person when it comes to food, if I feel hungry, I need food ASAP or I will become extremely “hangry” and you don’t want to see that, it’s as bad as seeing me on a morning without coffee. The point is, instant food is quick, sustainable and cheap so it made sense when you’re kind of lazy like me.
However, current me has been putting actual vegetables in a pan to boil, putting decently healthy frozen food in the big oven and even including salad on my plate. I’ve also filled a whole fruit bowl and eaten it all over the course of a couple of weeks as snacks. I’ve even started eating crumpets or porridge for breakfast so I don’t eat the crisps I was supposed to be saving for lunch, at my desk at 10AM because I think I’m starving to death.
Ha, I feel like I’m just showing off by listing all my minor achievements as of late. Nah, I’ve not done anything that special, but I’m proud of myself for making little diet changes for myself so it feels like I’m kicking ass.
